21 September 2022 – first group to start training on the sensory garden project
4 October 2022: Sensory garden training project: Session 3 was presented by Dr Kate Katelyn from Merrimack College.


11 October 2022: Session 4 of the sensory garden training was presented by Tamika Roopsingh, a MEd student at the University of Pretoria
18 October 222: Session 5: The ECD practitioners visited Eduplex, the pre-primary school in Queenswood. The principal, Ms Tracey Teague showed them their sensory garden.


27 October 2022: Final celebration with the ECD practitioners that complete the course. Great project thanks to the sponsors, SA-HEN as well as two visitors from Merrimack College, USA, Prof Audrey Falk and Valeria Garcia for being part of the process.
28 October 2022: The Mamelodi campus presented a workshop on Community engagement and service learning at Future Africa. Prof Tim Stanton, Director Emeritus Stanford University and Prof Audrey Falk from Merrimack College and her Masters student, Valeria Garcia shared insights and experiences with regard to community engagement and service learning. The workshop was attended by 22 from the University of Pretoria.


October 2022: Organise photo competition for the University Social Responsibility Network
September, October 2022: Work with Mr Hannes Engelbrecht, his 16 BA(Hons) Tourism students and 3 community partners on a story map project.
